Food Services

Williston Public School District #1's Food Services department follows strict nutrition standards set forth by Dietary Guidelines for Americans, a publication of the United States Department of Agriculture. Our goal is to provide an overall school environment that encourages healthy food choices, specifically encouraging:

  1. Balancing calories with physical activity to manage weight;
  2. Consumption of more healthy foods and nutrients such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, fat-free and low-fat dairy products, and seafood;
  3. Consumption of fewer foods with sodium (salt), saturated fats, trans fats, cholesterol, added sugars, and refined grains.
