Ms. Anderson’s 7th grade health classes have spent this week learning about personal safety and violence prevention. Safety online, fire safety, safety within one’s house, safety within the community, personal boundaries, and trusted adults have all been topics of discussion. Pictured here is Ms. Anderson going over a NearPod in which students were presented the following scenario: You have an online friend who wants to meet at your house for coffee. Should you meet with them? Ms. Anderson was happy to report that every single student answered that question “no” and gave various reasons why.
